  • Pay & Display council parking is available opposite the aquarium. During peak season spaces are limited, so please allow additional time to find parking in other areas of town.

Do I need to buy my tickets in advance?

We recommend pre-booking online to guarantee entry, especially during busy periods, though tickets can be purchased at reception.

What dates can I get tickets for?

Tickets are released for booking four weeks in advance.

Does a ticket allow for all-day entry?

No, re-entry is not permitted. However, you are free to stay in the Aquarium as long as you wish once inside.

Are weekly or yearly passes available?

Yes, passes can be purchased at reception and are non-transferable, valid only for those on the photograph.

Are there group discounts available?

Group rates apply to bookings of 15 or more. Please contact us via email or phone for pricing and availability.

Can I get a refund/exchange my ticket for another day?

Yes, if unused. Please contact us via phone or email for assistance with ticket changes.

Do you sell tickets as gift vouchers?

Yes, we offer gift vouchers for both tickets and the gift shop.

Is the Aquarium self-guided or are there tours?

The Aquarium is self-guided, but we offer daily feeding times and aquarist talks. For pre-booked groups, such as school tours, guided options are available.

What do I need for entry?

Have your pre-booked tickets ready to scan, either printed or on your mobile device. If buying at reception, we accept cash, card, and Oceanworld gift vouchers.

Can I leave and return to the Aquarium visit?

Re-entry is not permitted, but you may visit the Gift Shop or Café and return to the exhibits.

How long can I spend in the Aquarium?

The visit is self-guided, so the time spent is up to you, though we recommend about an hour to fully explore all exhibits.

Can I visit the Gift Shop without visiting the Aquarium?

Yes, the Gift Shop and Café are open to all, with hours matching those of the Aquarium.

Do you have a ‘Lost & Found’?

Yes, please contact reception if you’ve lost an item and we’ll do our best to assist you.

Can I take pictures and videos?

Yes! We just ask that you avoid flash or lights to prevent disturbing the animals.
