Sand Tiger Shark

Scientific Name : Carcharias taurus

Status : Critically Endangered (IUCN)

With their jagged, protruding teeth and fearsome appearance, sand tiger sharks may seem intimidating, but they are generally non-aggressive towards humans. These formidable predators play a vital role in maintaining healthy marine ecosystems by regulating prey populations, keeping the balance between species.

Yellow Bellied Slider

Scientific Name : Trachemys scripta scripta

Status : Least Concern (IUCN)

On view at Aquarium in : Terrapins

The yellow-bellied slider is a popular freshwater turtle known for its distinctive yellow markings and adaptable nature. Native to the southeastern United States, these turtles thrive in a variety of aquatic habitats and are often spotted basking on logs or rocks in the sun. Their vibrant appearance and hardy nature make them common in both the wild and captivity.

Fabulous experience. We all loved it (2 adults and 2 kids 12+9). Really impressed with displays and loved the interactive part up close with the Skate. Definitely worth the visit and a beautiful town to visit.
